The Secretary of State for Wales Alun Cairns launches the Wales-France business forum at a reception hosted by the British Assembly in Paris.

Becoming part of the forum is a fantastic opportunity to connect business people across both countries. With Reval being one of an estimated 85 French companies providing opportunities to Wales.

Speaking at the launch reception, the Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns highlights his aspirations for the forum saying:

“This forum will provide a home for strengthened Franco-Welsh relations where business representatives from all sectors can network and learn from one another.”

“As the UK prepares to leave the EU, this deepening relationship between the UK and France is important both economically and politically.”

“Crucial to the success of this partnership is the support of the UK, French and Welsh governments to create the right conditions to support companies to export and grow overseas.”

The forum will host networking events for French and Welsh businesses and entrepreneurs across Wales, ensuring that Wales remains firmly open for business as the UK leaves the European Union.

Reval MD, Jason Ashman says;

“Le Club” creates new opportunity for businesses in Wales and France at a time of economic uncertainty.  The timing couldn’t be better for Franco-Welsh companies to get engaged in such a positive initiative to promote their business.  The forum or “Le Club” as its now know, has already created several created networking possibilities, and interest in our company.

In addition, getting involved by attending the launch of “Le Club” in Paris, has already provided our company, with a platform which has attracted the attention and interest of the Welsh Assembly Government.  I am meeting with departmental representatives in the coming weeks, to discuss potential which in turn will hopefully create new jobs in Wales and in La Rochelle in France, where our parent company manufactures the product we market in Wales, UK and globally.
